Research Specializations

The Plotkin Lab is developing novel, rationally-designed antibodies and vaccines to neutralize SARS-CoV-2, which account for future evolutionary mutations of the virus. These therapies are designed to be effective for future outbreaks as well as the current pandemic. Plotkin is also a co-inventor on a patent for a serology test that is designed to be fully specific for SARS-CoV-2. The above diagnostics and therapeutics are currently being developed in partnership with a Toronto-based pharmaceutical company, ProMIS Neurosciences.
