We will be attempting find associations between depressed heart function and blood markers of inflammation in COVID-19 patients. Depressed heart function has been seen in patients with COVID-19 but the precise mechanism is unclear. Establishing a link between depressed heart function and blood markers of inflammation may lead to studies aimed at targeting to decrease inflammation in the COVID 19 patients to improve heart function.
