Media, Life & Community during COVID: Media, Life & Community during the COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19 Research Area(s): Social Impacts

I am investigating the relationship students have with media during the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. I wish to investigate how students use media as a provider of news and information, an educational tool, a source of entertainment, and as a means of communication with friends and family and to interact with their communities. This survey will ask questions about technology and media use both prior to and during the Coronavirus pandemic. It will include demographic information including the demographics of the family or roommates the student is living with- but no names or information that could lead to the identification of the participant The University of Maryland, College Park is leading this study. Professor Susan Moeller from the school of journalism is directing this study and they have received complete ethics approval.
