Mediating COVID19; Mediating contagion: international students negotiating media, policy and institutions

This project will seek out to find how the experiences of racism and stigmatization international students from China and Hong Kong has affected their health and health behaviour with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing from studies that were conducted during the SARS outbreak in 2003, it was found that the social marginalization of surveyed Asian community members negatively affected their economic and social-well-being.
