Pet ownership and homelessness in Vancouver, Canada

The project involves analyzing data from the BC SPCA's foundation Charlie's who provides services to Vancouver's downtown east side population in support of people's pets. We will be examining the records of Charlie's over the years to quantify how many people are being served by this program, and to try and identify trends in terms of time of the month, month of the year, when clients use Charlie's. Further, we will also examine the effects of COVID-19 on the number of people served by Charlie's by looking at services before and during the pandemic.
