Undergraduate Nursing Students' Experience in the Clinical Learning Environment Since COVID-19 in British Columbia
COVID-19 Research Area(s): Epidemiology & Public Health, Healthcare Delivery & Policy
The goal of this research is to understand the experience of undergraduate baccalaureate nursing students in the clinical learning environment (CLE) as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic compared to their experiences in a traditional clinical placement in a hospital or community setting prior to the pandemic. Undergraduate baccalaureate nursing students will share their perceptions of the quality of their CLE during the COVID-19 pandemic and their perceptions of the quality of their CLE prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, by completing an online survey on the UBC hosted Qualtrics platform. A nursing student perspective would be valuable in informing choices made by nursing education leaders to effectively teach clinical skills in the clinical learning environment.
