International Survey on the Perceived Indoor Environmental Quality of Home-based Workplaces

COVID-19 Research Area(s): Mental Health & Wellbeing

We have created a subjective survey of perceived 'indoor environmental quality' that is available to a global audience, in doing so creating thefirst survey of its kind to ask individuals how they perceive their at-home workstation, and whether or not the design context of their home, how it performs with respect to light, energy, and air quality, affects one's perceived state of mind and health. From the responses we aim to answer questions from the broad "What has been the effect of working from home on perceived well-being?" to the more specific "What risks are emerging from this brief WFH period that need to be addressed through building code and health and safety code improvements?".
